Fenrir
- A giant monster portrayed as a wolf
- Oldest child of Loki and Angrboda (a giantess)
- Accepted the challenge placed on him by the gods: he cannot break free from the chains, he is so weak. However, he broke the chains as though they were nothing he is so strong
- Finally, the gods, who feared Fenrir from a prophecy saying that he and his family will be responsible for the destruction of their world, bound him in a magic chain
- The gods asked the dwarves to create a magic chain
- The dwarves createda thin ribbon (the magic chain), called Gleipnir, mixing the footsteps of a cat, the roots of a mountain, a woman's beard, the breath of fishes, the sinews of a bear, and a bird's spittle
- Fenrir felt that the chain was so weak, that it was useless to show his strength in breaking it, however, he finally agreed, on one condition: one of the god's put their hand between his jaws
- He couldn't break free from the chain, and bit of Tyr's hand in revenge (Tyr was the only one who agreed to do this)
- The gods carried the wolf off, and chained him to a rock a mile under the earth.
- At Ragnorak, he will break free from his chains, team with the giants in their fight against the gods, and hunt down Odin.
- He kills Odin, only to have Odin's son, Vadir, kill him in revenge.
